Siemens attacked Goodwood with a retro Mustang without a driver

At the Speedway Festival in Goodwood, Siemens will participate with a prototype of an autonomous car developed jointly with the University of Krenfield. The Ford Mustang has been modified in 1965, equipped with systems that allow the machine to compete without a driver on the famous ascent at Lord Marc's Mansion.

The Silver Mustang is specially branded for the 25th Anniversary of the Goodwood Festival. Inside the car will be installed cameras that will transmit a direct picture of what is happening along the route. For the sake of security on board the car, there will be a person who will be able to intervene in the management in the event of an accident. Siemens does not disclose details of the hardware used in the car - it is only clear that they have used scanning technology from Bentley Systems and have made an accurate"3D-picture"of the track that the car follows.
