Bulgarians won the seventh edition of Tesla Rally

The Fruska gora National Park hosted the seventh edition of Tesla Rally in Serbia. For the first time on the interesting stretches of the famous automobile race known in the recent past, electric cars passed. The competition was the second round of the International Eco Rally Cup (IERC) and the official start was given at the Andrével Congress Center during the Tesla Globul Forum. The event is an annual festival where scientists, students and entrepreneurs gather together to share ideas and together celebrate the birthday of the great Serbian scholar Nikola Tesla.

The first crew of the Bulgarian team"Re Sport"Kalin Dedikov and Georgi Pavlov with Renault Zoe passed with the least penalty points on the 240-km route and finished as the winner. The main competitors of the Bulgarians were the Slovenian team of"Renault Adriatic"also with Zoe. Zeljko Purgar, a three-time participant in the E-rally Monte Carlo, led by Slovenia's most experienced navigator, Miron Kacin, who has over 20 races in the World Rally Championship and a bunch of victories in the Fruska Gora Rally, came in 9 seconds from Bulgarians after the first day of the race. On the second day the struggle for victory was even more challenged, but the Bulgarians even increased their advance and won the seventh edition of Tesla Rally with 15 seconds in front of the Slovenes or 61 at 76 penalty points.

Bronze medals took the second crew of Re Sport. Maria Bobar and Antoaneta Dedikova with VW e-Golf from Porsche Serbia ended with 188 penalty points but in the final they had a huge lead over their pursuers.
