800 hp in the S-Class? The V12 performances even send 900 hp. and 1500 Nm to the rear wheels. Lately, this is a standard for Brabus! The Tuning Company and small series car maker has up to 900 horsepower packages for different Mercedes models. The Brabus 800, based on the Mercedes-AMG S 63, is brand new. From the facelift, the serial modification relies on the 4-liter V8 Biturbo. The most powerful version of the unit is now"inflated"by the 612 hp. and 900 Nm to 800"horses"and 1,000 Nm! For comparison, the 5.5-liter"octave"version of the pre-facelift version, thanks to an increased workload of 5912 cc, generated 850 hp. and 1400 Nm.

Of course, in this case, power much more important than"naked"power is the drive. The new generation of the Brabus 800 relies on the intelligent 4Matic + system and the 9-speed MCT transmission with nine gears. Even the S 63's"sprinted"in 3.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h. Thanks to the additional 188 hp. and 100 Nm Brabus makes the exercise 0-100 in just 3.1 seconds! Let's recall - here is a limousine weighing over 2 tons! Behind the wheel the acceleration does not feel so brutal. Above all, this is due to the sound: in the Sport mode + the voice of the engine echoes angrily, but at the finish, the car remains a well-dispensed luxury liner, which just presses a button as soft as a lamb.

Today, however, we will not test it in this state - yet we want to release 800"horses"to ride at will. That's why we're going to the highway. Currently the maximum speed is 300 km / h, revealed by Brabus. The state-of-the-art engine control electronics and its associated speed limitations are becoming more and more difficult to"hack", but engineers do not give up. With us Brabus 800"raised"314 km / h - but this is probably due to the deviation in the odometer reading. With the brutal thrust of the machine probably 340-350 km / h would not be a problem. And since the S-Class is equipped with a Widescreen Cockpit, it's not as easy to change the speedometer. However, for Brabus there is a solution: a first prototype of new software, the development of which has lasted over six months, was presented in Geneva. In this way the speedometer reaches 400 km / h. Get out! Repair - for ten kilometers, we must be careful not to lint the car or any truck will not be too close to the limousine costing about 600,000 leva. After a little eternity the unpleasant stretch ends and we can already feel freedom. What do we mean? We choose"Sport +", manually"push"the third gear of the automaton with a hydrotransformer and the gas goes to the floor. 1000 Nm are available at 3600 rpm, the new turbochargers work at a maximum pressure of 1.6 bar - and Brabus flies forward as a beast to its prey. Switching takes place just before 7000 rpm - and the acceleration does not stop and stop. The digital speedometer"jumps"at 4 km / h, 270"goes"sixth gear, and Brabus continues to accelerate.

Extremely impressive are the intermediate sprints - the S-Class with 800 hp. accelerates from 200 to 300 km / h faster than some sports cars from 0 to 100. Our subjective feeling is that the"small"4-liter V8 engine is moving at least as fast as its predecessor Brabus 850 with a 5.9- liter V8. At the same time, the tuning of the engine, including new electronics and new turbines, comes close to 52 000 leva - much more profitable than the increase in the workload at the predecessor, which cost about 150 000 leva!

After our Highspeed Run, the S-Class is once again the perfect limousine for long trips. In Comfort mode the car is ultra-quiet and incredibly comfortable. After Brabus's intervention, however, the purchase amount rose to 572,000 leva. But it will not be surprising to the customers of the tuning company... Despite the revised suspension (3500 leva) and 21-inch wheels (22,000 leva), the Benz filters the bumps as a true Mercedes. Whoever wants can shut the valves in the exhaust ($ 15,800), turn on the assistant systems and continue to move smoothly - feeling like there are no opponents on the Brabus 800 motorway. The machine follows the typical"all black"Brabus style. Rims, decorative elements and interior - all are black. For a somewhat more aggressive, but not intrusive look, Carbon Front spoiler, Fender Additives, Fine Rear spoiler and Rear diffuser are also available. The 21-inch wheelset completes the look of a mafia limousine. With its base price of 320,000 leva, the Mercedes-AMG S 63 4Matic + is far from cheap. The well-equipped modification, on which the tuning is made, by price list exceeds 436 000 BGN.

Conclusion

This S-Class can simply do everything - both to"eat"superfast cars on the highway and to become the perfect limousine with a driver. Brabus 800"wins"many of its 4x4 drives and the 9-speed automaton of its serial prototype. The price together with the tuning is chilling - but 3.1 sec for 0-100 say it all!
